the lobby is aboslutely charming, but let’s not forget my room on the grand floor was, honestly, a disappointment. I requested an upgrade, which never happend. And the staff’s constant phrase was ‘sorry, not in this location,’ how lovely. I almost gave a good review but just couldn't ignore the missing microwave.

Spacious room, exceptional service, the hotel is conveniently located just 2 km from Karasuma, making it easy to explore the area and its attractions while enjoying the comfort of air conditioning and a flat-screen TV.

I stayed for a few nights to explore the nearby attractions like the Yasaka Shrine and Kyoto National Museum. The room was quite spacious, and the large bathroom facilities made for a comfortable experience. However, the communication with the staff was a bit challenging due to the language barrier, which made coordinating our check-in and luggage drop-off a little complicated. Despite this, the location is good for those who enjoy walking and prefer easy access to beautiful parks and historic sites.

It would have been nice to have some nighttime food or drink options instead of trekking to a 7/11!!! Furthermore, staff should improve their English proficiency to facilitate better communication regarding check-in and luggage arrangements.

The location is perfect, just a stroll away from historical sites like Kiyomizudera and vibrant areas of Gion, making every outing a delight.
